National Honor Society taps 23 new inductees
Twenty-three outstanding students were officially inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony held in the Bud Singletary gymnasium at Gray Stone Day School on October 20.
The event celebrated the academic achievements of the newest members of one of the nation’s most prestigious student organizations.
Founded in 1921, the National Honor Society recognizes students who excel in the organizations four pillars of service, character, leadership and scholarship.
Membership is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student and is a testament to years of hard work and dedication.

High school senior launches tutoring program
In an initiative formed out of leadership and service, high school senior Teddy Morton has launched a peer-led tutoring program aimed at providing middle school students with extra academic support.
As part of his senior community service project, Morton aims to foster both academic excellence and mentorship in his school.
