INCOMING STUDENT INFORMATION For all students accepted at our lottery: It is imperative that your information be returned to the school on or before tomorrow, February 9, 2012. Failure to return the necessary information will result in you being dropped from the list of accepted students and placed at the bottom of the waiting list. Your spot will then go to the next person on the waiting list. Documentation can be submitted by mail or in person. The following information are required to complete your enrollment:
·        A copy of your birth certificate
·        An up to date copy of your immunizations
·        A copy of your first semester Report Card from the 8th grade
·        The enclosed Math Course Recommendation Form
TEAM PHOTOS Don’t forget that all Basketball and Cheerleading team photos will be made immediately after school today (2/8).
SPRING TRACK All students interested in running spring track should meet today (2/8) in the Commons at 3:00. Be sure you have your eligibility cards!
SOFTBALL Skill development will begin at 3:30 at Richfield Park on Field #3 again today (2/8).
TALENT SHOW Auditions will be held today promptly at 3:30 in Room 102 (2/8).
GRAY STONE BAND will host a pizza party today (2/8) at 3:00 in the concession stand for existing members & all newly interested students. Be sure to stop by!
SENIOR PROJECT All students must first check in with their Flex teacher’s tomorrow (2/9) then go to the Gym for a presentation. Seniors will not be permitted to leave campus for lunch.
GOLF There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow (2/9) after school for those students trying out for the golf team in room 107. If for any reason you can’t attend, please inform Coach McCollister prior to the meeting.
SADD There will be a meeting tomorrow (2/9)Â after school in Mrs. Deese's room.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS Please stop by the fish bowl immediately after school tomorrow (2/9)Â if you are interested in helping James Parkhill with Project UNIFY and the Special Olympics.
VALENTINE'S DANCE Please be reminded that tomorrow (2/9) is the last day to purchase Valentine’s dance tickets in the office for $7 or to sign up an outside guest. If you pay in advance, don’t forget that you must have your RED TICKET to get in. All Gray Stone students will be $10 at the door. The dance will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 7:30pm-10:30pm in the Commons. Dress code is semi-formal.
BOYS' TENNIS Practice starts Monday (2/13). Conditioning will begin at school from 3:30 - 4:30. Please meet in Room 100 after school. You must have a Participation Card turned in to Mr. Walter in order to practice.
DODGE BALL TOURNAMENT There will be a dodge ball tournament on February 23rd for Devin Russell's senior project. The cost will be $5 per person or $25 per team. Only five people per team. There will be a girls division and a guys division, so please be getting your teams ready! E-mail Devin Russell with any questions or find him in the hall.
PAVE THE WAY CAMPAIGN Because there was not enough interest at this time, the Pave the Way brick campaign has been canceled until a later date.Â
ADMISSIONS The application period for the 2012-2013 school year is closed. All additional applicants that apply at this time will be placed at the bottom of the posted waiting list. All Lottery information and results are posted under School News on this home page.
UNDERCLASS PORTRAITS Orders may still be placed. Pick up a form in the office or go to the website homepage > School News (top right) > scroll to Portraits and download an order form. Email mkinsey@graystoneday.org with any questions.
