Greetings from Mrs. Allred-McGee:

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be at Gray Stone as the high school counselor for the 2018-2019 school year. My path to GSDS involves lots of twists and turns, and I believe that it has given me various experiences to better support our students.

My goal is to focus on supporting students academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. I meet with students individually and in small groups. Here are some ways that I can support you:

  • Helping with academic skills, such as time management, study skills, and organization
  • Supporting you as you transition to Gray Stone as a new student
  • Encouraging a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Supporting students during personal crises
  • Collaborating with students, staff members, and parents to encourage success
  • Coordinating referrals to outside agencies
  • Reviewing graduation plans to ensure that you are on track for graduation
  • Teaching coping skills to deal with anxiety, depression, or other concerns
  • Focusing on stress management
  • Being a “safe space” for you to verbalize thoughts and feelings

Please know that my door is open to ALL students… Stop by my office and say “hi!”
