B.A. in Mathematics, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Allison Stroud graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2009 with a BA in Mathematics. During her time at UNC as well as her days growing up in Boiling Springs, NC, she has developed a love for mathematics and has learned from her father, a former math teacher himself, the importance of giving students the tools they need to succeed.
"I am extremely lucky to be teaching at Gray Stone. My passion for teaching mathematics has grown while being here due to the school’s strong emphasis on scholarship, development, and character. Math can be a tough subject to learn and I aim to incorporate technology and student participation into my classes to make the learning process comfortable and successful.”
Ms. Stroud will be teaching Math II, Discrete Math, and AP Statistics this year as well as assisting with the Girls’ Basketball program and advising the Octagon Club.
Ms. Stroud is from a family of 4 daughters and enjoys the outdoors, water sports, the Outer Banks, the Smoky Mountains, and Tar Heel sports.
