Daily Schedule
Gray Stone Day School utilizes a hybrid schedule designed to get the most of students and the instructional day. Days typically begin at 8:30 and end at 3:00 with staff on campus from 7:30 until 4:00.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are days when students attend all six of their year long schedule for 55 minutes each. Tuesdays and Thursdays allow for longer lab times and time for extended writing assignments of in depth projects. These days have students attending only three of their six classes for 85 minutes each. On Tuesdays, students attend 1st, 3rd, and 5th period and are released early at 2:05. On Thursdays, students attend 2nd, 4th, and 6th period classes and are released at 2:05. This built in early release is an ideal times for club meetings and other activities that interrupt instructional time at most schools. As the teachers are on campus, this provides a valuable opportunity for enrichment.
