About Us
Brickner, Efird Selected as Morehead-Cain Scholarship Nominees
Gray Stone Day School is proud to announce that we have selected Rebecca Brickner and Lea Efird as this year’s nominees for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at UNC Chapel Hill. Criteria for selection include Scholarship, Leadership, Moral Force of Character and Physical Vigor. Recipients receive a full four-year scholarship covering tuition, books, room and board, a laptop computer, and four summer enrichment experiences involving public service, international research and private enterprise opportunities. Morehead-Cain nominees hail from across North Carolina, the United States and internationally. Less than 4% of all nominees ultimately receive the scholarship, making the Morehead-Cain one of the most competitive merit scholarships in the country. Congratulations to Rebecca and Lea!
