| Gray Stone Welcomes Freshman Class Officers to Student Council | |||||||||||||

By Raegan Perry MISENHEIMER, NC- Last week, the Gray Stone freshman class voted for their freshman class officers. With five candidates vying for President and three for Vice President, it was an incredibly close race. Brooke Harwood won the election for the President, Spencer Carmichael for the Vice President and Eldon Zacek became the Secretary. Spencer Carmichael, the new Vice President, said “I am very excited about being elected as the Vice Prez and I am ready to get to work!” Duties of the freshman class officers include planning and implementing an end of the year field day, a spirit week, and have meetings throughout each month to promote participation and work on Student Council business. They must maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Student Body President, Raegan Perry, was eager to “get the freshman on board.” Perry says, “It’s always fulfilling to see the freshmen develop into hard-working school representatives.” Congratulations to Brooke, Spencer and Eldon!
